..i just dont know anymore.....
alright...i have a 94 teg b20vtec gsr head....everything went on perfect....its been a month now on this setup.stock enternals...tuned w/hondata s200...mods: AEM cam gears...rsr cat back exhust...competion clutch..DC headers 4-2-1 .akimota cold air intake....new valve seals...gasket...Hondata IM gasket...ALRIGHT.....yesterday....and weeks before, my CEL will come on when im in 5th gear slowing done, from 60mph to 45mph, so that i can put it in 4th gear, almost everytime i do that, the cel will come on. Right when it comes on, i will turn the car off, then right back on, and the cel will be gone..till the next day....alright, yesterday, it started coming on more ferquent thoughtout the day, and it would not come off, when i turned my car off, then on...and, when the cel was on, i couldnt even rev pass 4,000 rpms....i checked my oil, it read right in the middle of the dots... i checked it that morning(the morning that my cel will stay on), and it was like on the last dot!!!...OK?...From yesterday to that morning, i didnt even hit vtec AT ALL!...i have new rings, so oil is not bypassing, no smoke shooting out the exhust....no leaks on the ground...i got new valve seals..but my mechinc said that i was in need of valve guides in the near future..so maybe its that?..but no smoke or anything....The funny thing is...the CEL to turn off again, and i can rev pass 4,000 rpms....I havent checked my codes to see what it throwing...but can anyone help.. i got an oil change today...i use castrol 5w 30...and on the way home, everthing was fine, no CEL...but that was because, everytime i would slow down to downshift, i would put in in netrual..then when it hit 45mph, put in in 4th..so its weird that my CEL only comes on when im drving, and letteing it rev down...any thing u guys can think of??..thanks.
oh, one more thing....the only thing i can think of where i could be losing oil, is on my valve cover, on the bolt on the outside of the valve cover, its stripped, so it cant tighten down all the way, so when i get done drving the car, i see like that area is wet w/oil..and there is come oil on top of the bolt..but i dont think i could be losing most my oil to that..cuz it not even much to let it drip out, and run down the block.

Second off, it sounds like you've found your oil problem. It sounds like a dizzy problem based on the symptoms alone.</TD></TR></TABLE>...alright..Im having trouble trying to find what code it is throwing....ECU-isnt it on the passenger side foot area?..if so..then i checked it...and i dont see any light flashing... .so u think the valve cover bolt could be my oil problem, even tho it doesnt show that im losing that much oil...compared to my oil on the last dipstick hole? Also, what is "dizzy"?..thanks....yea..srry for the loooooooong paragarph..i came home tired, and fusturated...so i just wrote it out..srry.

Okay, go in your passenger footwell.
On the right take off the cover by the ECU.
Look up and you will see two plugs.
You need to get the smaller one, it is not plugged into anything.
Now put a paper clip in the two pins so they are connected.
Once in, turn the key to on or accseroy(sp) and the check engine light will flash.
If I remember right a long flash is a 10 and a short flash is 1, so long short would be 11.
Find out what code it is then come back to us.
Good luck.

I get wierd oil readings too. I find that if i check the oil of my car like 15 min after driving it it will read much higher than if i check it the next morning. You just have to give it some time to let the oil drain back into the pan. Not much to worry about, although you might want to get the valve cover fixed.
Dizzy is short for distributor, the cap that your spark cables plug into. if you pull it off and the metal connectors are worn pretty far down then its time for a new one. if your curious as to the whole mechanism i can fill you in on that too.
hope this helps
