iigght i put a b16a swap in a 96 civic and when i first took it for a spin it was running iight but then i stoped at a stop sign put it in first then when i went to second i heard a snap and it wont catch none of the gears anymore? this alos happened to me when i put a new clutch in on the d series motor what can be the problem?

 

maybee the shift linkage popped out of sync.
check where your linkage hooks up to your trans.

 

i did, everything looks good, when i put it in first the speedometer shows 20 then when i go to second it shows 35 but the car dont move
