I just got a 98 Prelude for $3,500 so I knew it had some problems. I knew the automatic transmission was kicking into gear & that it was ruff. But now not only does it KICK into gear but it slips right through a whole gear. Another thing I notice today is when I took the oil cap off the valve cover I noticed that air was blowing out of it. I knew that the #1 cylinder was oil flawed cause when I took out the spark plug cable the whole thing was swimming in oil & the spark plug was covered in oil as well. Please if anyone cause help me & give me a clue to what it could be I'm really aprecaitate it. Thanks.

Tranny probably is going out. Do a 5 speed swap if you have chance!
Oil problem-look like you need new spark plug seals (under the valve cover).

 

Yup, that's what it was. The seal had fallen off completely. Went to Honda & bought a Valve Gasket Set. & I checked the engine codes it was giving me, 'mis-fire in cylinder one' & 'MAP sensor'. I have 2 of 3 major problems taken car of. Have anybody done the swap from auto to manual. I know it's been done, but I want to talk to someone who's done it.
