Default Help: Engine went off while on freeway...

Earlier today, my engine went off while on the freeway. I was on the 710 freeway going at 80mph (5th gear) and suddenly, my speed meter drop down to 0. I panic, and press the gas but nothing happen (just read at 0 mph). I change lane all the way to the right side and park there. I turn on the ignition key and the engine started. What a relief,i thought i blown my engine. What just happen, did my car just stalled on the middle of the freeway?

thanks

have you been in for the recall on the ignition?

I have only heard rumors ofit happening, but you may want to check with your local dealer if they still honor the recall for the 5th gen lude

I had this same problem and now it is very bad. It use to die and start right back up but now it takes quite a few tries.
Anyways I was procrastinating taking it into honda, Im afraid that they will try and void the warrenty do to my aftermarket parts. They said it has to be ignition related and am wondering if they would notice that I have an AEM EMS. Anyone know if they would try to hook it up to a computer for a faulty ignition switch?

hey i have this same issue. But my car started right after I took it to DEQ and ever since my car just shuts off. I would drive and all of the sudden it would cut off. Pop the clutch in and start it right back fine while rolling. I havent taken it to a shop yet because i have no money, so this is an ignition problem?! this saves me a bundle!
