timing belt
i currently have 73k miles on my car. How long will it last before i need to replace my timing belt? People tell me that they have gone over 100k.
Also, does anybody know much it costs to get a new one?

Please do a search... There was an exact thread like this recently:

94-97 - 60k
98+ - 90k
Don't skimp on replacing this... if it breaks while driving, you risk serious damage to the motor which will exceed the original cost of having the timing belt changed in the first place.

I lagged on replacing mine and it gave out about a month ago. My ride had 75K exactly. So I slapped on a new timing belt and water pump and started the car and I was lucky I didn't bend any valves. Don't push your luck, get it done soon!
