i think i've done some real damage
out on some twisties, about 75km/h and took a pretty sharp right turn and heard a nasty bang under the right front tire, almost the sound you would hear if you hit a good sized pot hole. i didnt think much of it since the road i was on wasnt the nicest to start with and proceded to the next corner (which happened to be a long sweeping left) as i'm coming around i can feel the car is leaning alot more than normal. i could tell i was getting close to the grip level of the tires so i slowed right down. as i lift off the pedal; i hear that same bang again. when i had the chance, i pulled over to let the engine cool off and decided to take a peak under the car to see what the banging was and to see if did any damage.
looks like the end of the front swaybar where it connects to the lower control arm on the passanger side has come out from it's (endlink?) and somehow bent the mount around. (as though it wansnt centered and the long left hander pushed the bar over and fubar'd the mount.
am i going to have to replace the whole control arm and front sway bar or just the control arm? maybe just the mount?
it's pouring out now so i cant get a pic, but i will posty one soon.

I doubt the LCA is damaged. Thats one thick peice of metal. The sway bar, endlinks and brackets sound damaged. Fortunately alot of ppl upgrade these so you should be able to find one in the classifieds for cheap. Get some pics when you get a chance.
no real damage done, but for sure you gonna want an alightment after all is repaired....Might have messed up your toe....it will wear the tires the same as negative camber, but just a lot quicker.
pics would be good...

Yeah, your sway bar end-link came apart right here. Shouldn't be hard to fix at all.

then why is it that companies like prothan and ES make replacement sway endlink bushing kits, if teg endlinks dont use bushings?
