I won't short Jude on a specific $$ amount, but I will say that I am extremely satisfied with the results, cost, and experience with PFMRacing.
How's that for an unpaid solicitation

Me either. Interesting door bar setup, too. Can't really see what it looks like going into the door, if it does.
Jeff-
I'd be a little concerned with the location of the horizontal bar under the dash. That thing looks like it'd be REALLY close to your knees.
Are the pics possibly misleading a bit, or is that correct?

Doing them this way allows what would normally be the cross bar to be placed lower for more support in the main hoop. The driver's side nub is shorter because my seat can be bolted in 3 positions.

Actually, I don't think so. I've seen a couple of the impacts that have been taken by Jude's cages & I'm comfy. As mentioned in an earlier post. I've got family to protect...I'm not shortcutting anything.

Nice work on the cage though.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Nope. Jude has 12 cars that have scca IT legal cages. In addition, he sponsors the St Louis SCCA driver's school that I attended.

76 ft of cage. I forgot to weigh the steel
**runs to send email & find out approx weight.**
I'm guessing ~150lbs?

1) the diagonal just has to pass through the horizontal that runs across the main hoop.
2) looks like pretty standard location for dash bar to me.
3) when do i get to see this thing jeff?

I dont think this is inherently a "poor" cage or one that wont protect you in an impact but I can only echo what others have said about this -
I dont like those harness mount locations *at all*... the dash bar is too low, and the forward tubes not up against the a-pillar. Should have pulled the dssh out and trimmed it. I am also concerned with the height of those door bars - they just dont seem to offer much protection.
Best of luck to you next year

Hrm...scary if you ask me.
I can see from the other threads I wasn't the only one who thought about this.
Just watching out for the safety of a fellow racer, that's all.
Oh, and ditto on the good luck wish

hey jeff -
do you have the seats that require a seatback brace?
i certainly understand everyone's concern with the harness bars, but in reality, it really isn't any different than a seatback brace from my point of view. now if you don't like seatback braces, that's another issue altogether.
