Default h23\h22 help

I bought a h22 prelude yesterday owner tells me it had a recent oil change and full tank of gas. Well mabey 12hrs later driving went in to v-tec mabey 2 times then the oil light comes on. So I look at the oil level almost nothing, put 2 quarts in still low. Add another 1 1/2 and it was fine. Drive mabey 5 miles keeping it below 4000 rpms the car stalls. Start the car it starts clacking from the #4 cylnder. Well im stuck five miles from home I had to drive the car home with the clacking. Any suggestions what happened. Im going to pull the head off tommarow and find out.

But my question: Can I use my old h23 rods and pistons with the h22 crank and what will be the limitations?

had simmilar problem... went into vtec ... oil light came on.. Ipulled over as soon as I could... checked the oil ... had only 1qt left... look under the car, and the oil was just pissin out of the oil filter area. I get home get under there.... take the filter off and find out that the o-ring behind that oil filter adaptor/oil cooler, that has coolant running through it, was cracked.... I found out that preludes have that happen very often in cold states...(MN). and then yeh my 4th pistonl got very loud... took it out found out hat it has scrapped front and back if the cylinder.
have no idea y that would've happened.... but I need to buy a new set of pistong... get the block borred out (OS)... all that carap

if anyone has any info about any of "our" probs HELP>>> tnx

Sorry to say it doesn't sound good. I'd say it's time to tear it down and repair or swap in a longblock, depending on your situation.
