what about the usdm type r header? is it as good as a design as the jdm one? if so would it fit? and if i did get that jdm cat it would work with an obd II 01 teg?
thanks for you help

The USDM ITR header is just a cast manifold, nothing special about it whatsoever. I do believe the JDM cat will work nicely. I think it has the second O2 bung on it, but if it doesn't you can always have one welded on.

I just purchased the JDM ITR header and all i did was buy the flange for it. Havent installed it yet but it will change the 2.5>2.25 to fit my stock cat. Idk for $25 its much better than purchasing a new cat. plus my N1 is 2.25 anyway...
So what should i do then? Just purchase the 2.5 obx cat on ebay for $60? That would fit the header nicely but then it would be too big for the exhaust. Idk, not much experience with the header and what not, just learning as i go along.
Most 2.5" collector headers are designed to be used with a 60mm (2.36") exhaust along with a 2.5 inch cat. Consider getting a JDM ITR cat and then upgrading the exhaust to a 60mm or 2.5" later down the road.
