heat shield

Default heat shield

2 of the bolts broke off the heat shield for the cat so its only held on by 2 bolts and its rattling. Does it really matter if I have it on.

I believe he is referring to the cat not the header.


It does what its name implies.

No it dosen't really matter if you have it. Your shifter may get a little warm though.

I have been warned several times not to take it off as it may make any nearby carpet a lil "to" hot. We have welded the tips together, or even used wire to make them not move/rattle. Take it off as a last resort.
