Default ** ACTION 2MD Owners ** break in ?????

So I am in the "breakin stage" of my Action 2MD .. so far I have had to put about 100 hwy miles on it and just a few city miles.

I am looking for experienced suggestions on how to complete my breakin as I have read about some people ruining there brand new clutches .

I have recieved several suggestions that vary quite a bit from person to person. Like " Just do a huge burn out" to " 400 gentle city miles" .... right now I am leaning toward a few hundred medium duty city miles / no hard launches.

Looking to hear from owners as to how they broke theirs in and how long before they started launching hard.

ESPECIALLY looking to hear from those that have burned up new clutches and how they did so.

Thanks

I broke my 2MS and 2MD the same way, just normal driving for 300 miles. I think what most people try to stress and something with engine break ins are proper heat cycles, but then again its all a matter of opinion.

Hope that helped.

I did a fair bit of stop start driving {100miles} out of boost and then did some highway miles gave it about a week to settle in. The manufactures does reccomend 4 or 500miles of city driving. My held up fine just let bed in without any rough stuff.

I didn't do any break in procedure with my 2MS. I have about 2000 miles on mine, and it looks perfectly fine. I never had any problems.

Most people will agree that you don't need to "break in" a puck type clutch. The only clutch you will need to break in are clutches with organic, or carbon discs. If you don't break those in, the will get too hot and wear out very fast.

i have this clutch on my prelude and i've been driving normal on it for about 600 miles. it grips fine but has a real small engaugement and dosn't like to be slipped like an organic clutch for a smooth engaugement...i think its gotten better with more driving, then again, i might just be getting used to the beffy clutch...i havn't done any massive clutch drops, just normal driving with hard pulls under boost now and then...

Just take it easy in the first 200 miles and be done!

Alright, sounds like I don't need to stress too much.
