Default DOHC ZC pistons?

hello all

which are the correct pistons to use on a JDM DOHC ZC engine? It's a 1991, if that makes a difference. I am getting it rebuilt and I may need to go oversize if it needs a rebore, and I want to be able to tell the machine shop guys which pistons are correct. I am hoping thet there is a USDM alternative; are the 88-89 D16A1 (Integra) pistons the same, or do they produce slightly less compression when installed?

Any info appreciated, and sorry to ask such an often discussed matter; I couldn't get any results using the search feature.

cheers

greg v

thanks for the info

after some research, I understand that P29's (88-89 Integra) and PM7's are both considered to be the correct piston for this application. If so, do they have different part numbers? And if so, why?

just curious

thanks again

You can use any d-series piston. The bore size is 75.5mm. I bought my ZC spec. pistons from http://www.theoldone.com I haven't put them in yet cuase I just bought them but man they are awsome! Plus they got them to me in 3 days!(Which I wasen't expecting) Thumbs up to ENDYN.

its 75mm bro. if you got 75.5 pistons your gonna have to bore.

But yeah the 86-87 Teg pistons are PG6 and the 88-89 are P29
DOHC ZC PM7
but the PM7 and P29 pistons are identical in every way, not real sure why they changed the part #.
