Hi All,

I am prepping my 89 CRX track car and have most of the mechanicals sorted out, but the body and paint look like hell. Since it is a track car I was thinking of having some fun w/ paint and vinyl. I am a Speedracer fan so check out the Photoshop'ed images below.



So... Is a Speedracer themed track car cool or lame?

I think that looks awesome. Very uncommon and your choice of graphic looks pretty clean

 

It is unique...I'm not sure if it is cool or lame. No one would mistake you on the track. It looks better on white for sure. Just make sure your number is easy to read. I hate working timing and scoring and not being able to see peoples numbers!

 

I like it for sure!!! Anyone saying its lame would be lame themselves!! LOL

 

I am a huge fan of speed racer. But, if you going to go wtih the whole Mach Go Go theme you gotta go all the way and get wheels similar to the ones on the Mach 5 and find a steering wheel with Alphabetic Letters on them. Red interior too.

I like it but stricty as a show/homage car.

Man I LOVE speed racer!!! Both Cars look sick. Mos def go with a speed racer theme, bring it back and do your thing.

I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geico

 

You guys may think its dumb but when my HF is out of the paint shop I am going to put my avatar on my gas tank door

i just want to see him make that rex jump like the mach 5 did.

 

It has a b18c swap w/ built internals, tuned intake and exhaust, and Hondata. It puts out 197WHP. It may not jump, but it should fly

If you are capable of pulling off those graphics then we must talk...

Just do whatever you like. Its your ride. But before you do the the Speed Racer thing check with your sanctioning body to see what they require for on-track car ID.

Oh, and nix the 'Speed Racer'. If people dont know what it is then theyre too dumb to have you prompt them. And if your vinyl is 'see through' then you should format it to also go over the rear side windows.

Er... what does Speed Racers front end look like? You could put some vinyl up front to inhance the image.

if the car is registered in any state dont do it just so you dont have the urge to drive that on the streets, but as a track car im giving you a all out "go for it"

I don't know if I would call that a theme car. I thnik the whole design needs to take up more of the car, not just a sticker on the side.

 

on those cars yes its supa rice a roni
