Formula 1 practice for the Australian Grand Prix is tonight on SPEED(vision), 11 p.m. EST.
Qualifying is Friday at 9 p.m.; the race is Saturday at 9 p.m. Everything will be shown live.
Ratings will have more influence than polls and surveys.

Hey did anyone hear that Monaco, Italy (Monza I am assuming), Canada, and the US are going to be broadcasted on ABC? I never got to see ABC's coverage last year because I was at the race, was it any good? I think Speed channel is still broadcasting the practice and qualifiying live for those races.
I can beleive the USGP and Canadian GP, but why would ABC spend the money to cover the European races live? Only the fanatics get up early on Sun morning to catch the races. The North American races live on Sun afternoon can pull more viewers.
BTW, their coverage last year was weak. I ended up waiting for the SV coverage on tape delay.
Does anyone know if Speed Channel has the same announcing crew this year?

Bob Varsha will be announcing for CART.
And I hope they get new announcers for the ABC broadcasts. They were awful. "and he is passing that.. that.. other car"
