Steering is Jerking..anyone know how to fix it?
My 88 crx's steering wheel is sometimes cocked to the right and then sometimes its aligned in the middle and it feels loose. when im braking the steering wheel gets jerky and jerks left to right. I can also feel a bumping or sumthing in my brake pedal. Anyone know what the problem could be. ANy suggestions are cool. Thanks
The problem is most prolly warped discs. It can be VERY worn out steering rack inner joints and tie- rods.
The discs are easy to replace. Take your front tires off, remove the brake assembly. Take small screws off from the disc. Get a big hammer, punch the discs hardly few times and they come off. Just take it out. Then CLEAN THE NEW DISC from storage grease all over. And re- assemble in reverse order.
You can do it. Good luck.

Don't forget to try to tighten the tension adjustment bolt on the steering rack....
