Default New to the Honda scene, need an expert for explanations!

Hi guys!

I am new the the Honda scene and need some one to clear up some questions that I have, I'd appreciate any help you can give.

1. This forum is for 92-00 Civics but what years did the appearance of the Civic change? I know the look changed throughout the years but what are the years of generations? Also does each generation have a name? (ie. mark 1, mark 2 etc..)?

2. What would be considered the most popular generation of Civic when it comes to modifying them?

3. What would be the best place to view information on exterior mods like body kits, lighting, grills, hoods, wheels, etc..

Thanks for any help you provide

1. 92-95 = EG
96-2000 = EK

2. thats hard to tell but my best guess would be the EG

3. there are numerous places u can go for those kinds of modifications...but i dont think u wanna bring that kinda stuff up on honda-tech...its more of a "oem" and "jdm" scene

good luck

Civic body style changedafter 95. When it comes to how popular the model, it is all personal prefference. Depends on how much you want to put into it with both money and time. If your looking for info on exterior mods, I dont know but this is not the right place. Post here if you need help with technical issues. There is more forums that will have info you need on body work, but this is mostly talk about problems and what not.

Thanks for the help guys, I wasn't reffering to crazy kits or anything like that. I was just curious. I didn't realize this was a tech only forum, sorry about that.

1.) 92-95, 96-98, and 99-00. Between the 96-98 and 99-00 there isn't much of a noticeable difference unless you really look close. The headlights are slightly different and there is a little difference in the front bumper.

2.) 92-00.

3.) There is a forum here for appearance/cosmetic and you can view pictures of almost any part on any car there. However, you won't find much for body kits there. Here is a link: https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=28 It can also be found by scrolling down to the bottom of the main site.

If you ever need information on a swap, or you need guidance on a project take a look at the stickies on the top of this forum. If the answer isn't in there, you can usually find it by using the search function (top right corner of the page).
