to you DA9GUY

He is doing his homework right now by asking these questions. So try and give him some help.

Anyway to answer your question we'll need more info on what your trying to do with your car. B18 is vague, because integra LS, RS, GS's have B18b in them.
Which is a 1.8 lt. 4cyl non vtec.

Then theres the B18C1 Which comes in integra GSRs. They have VTEC unline the previous stated B18B's.

Then there's the Type R motor which is a B18C5. So let us know more of what your talking about first, then we can help you better.

I dont remember saying a dam thing to you daguy.....I could care less what you think of me. To you for trying to be cute in front of all the people reading this. (Jerk)

As for the dude that asked the question in the first place, (apologies if offended) It is all based on personal preferences. I think the number one thing you need to ask yourself is; how much money do I want to spend? That is what it will boil down to. I personally think that the b18 series (c5,c1,b1,a1...maybe) is not a bad selection to choose from. Set yourself some goals, research after that, and then come up with a blue print after that.
p.s. Watch out for the highway patrol after its all said and done

I said "its personal preference......furthermore I said PERSONALLY, I think the b18 has a decent selection of motors to choose from" If you are going to be defensive, get your **** right when you try and open your pie hole. DUDE...WTF is up with the hostility?

How old are you? Like 15? You should be banned for acting like this. If you care so little, why do you defend yourself so ruthlessly? Look, all anyone was saying to you was that your attitude with that person and the others was uncalled for. We TRY to be helpful to everyone. There are those that are helpful and those that are assbags. Yes, I've said my fair share of **** to noobs that ask questions without research, but damn, take a pill man...it's the internet.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by int3gra07 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">which one is good</TD></TR></TABLE>

You will find a HUGE variance in your response to this questions...mostly stating that it depends on your budget and expectations. I would say you'd be better off asking that question again when you determine those things.

As for a personal choice, I'd say and ITR swap would be awesome, but a B16 would suffice...again, all depends on what you want to do.

Search for a thread that has the power/tq of each engine try... http://www.hmotorsonline.com and see if that'll give you a better idea.

In response to the original question, I think a b18b with a b16 tranny is going to grow on me. It's relatively 'cheap' and should be quite nice. I was going to do a k series swap, but..well. $$$ got in the way.

I'm on your side of the noob searching aspect, but chill out. When i was a newbie i did my OWN RESEARCH. I musta searched along the forums 100's of times. Shoot, i still do! Everytime i have a question i do a search and after reading many posts if im still not clear on something or i have a new idea i make a post. b16 vs b18 PLEASE!! Theres TONS AND TONS of posts on here.

Newbie: Heres 2 topics you should consider when your ready to do a SEARCH.

-Legalities of b16 civic engine in a integra (SMOG CHECK)
-b16 power vs b18 power
(displacement vs hp vs tq)
- Cost of b18 over the b16
- b18b vs b18c1 vs b18c5 (Integra Engines)
-b16a1 vs b16a2 (civic SI engines)

To the guys have been on the board for a while:
C'mon! This forum has an archive with a plethera of information. Every week n00b questions come up and I PERSONALLY dont want the Integra forum FLOODED with these questions because some n00b was lazy and wanted all of his answers handed to him on a silver platter while getting a foot massage sitting on a leather chair. If you LOVE CARS searching is not WORK. I love searching and seeing the different ARCHIVED view points of the many members in SEVERAL posts made about the SAME issues. There should seriously be a FAQ STICKY.

Same idea different situation:
You are summoned to appear in court 2 weeks from today regarding a a bill collection. DO you A) do your research to see whats going on in order to be well prepared to defend yourself or B) show up and ask the judge, jury, lawyer what's going on, how you should win the case and how long will the hearing last because youjust got a text from your mom saying shes waiting out front to pick you up to take you to soccer practice.

CMON NOW!!

Thumbs up for the SEARCH BUTTON & to make honda-tech a better place

Your question is too damn vague i dont know whether to stare at you and wonder whats goin on in ur noggin or to try to help you.

Get your stuff together, do a search and if you have further questions do another search. If the searches dont help BY ALL MEANS POST! I'd totally help you with a specific issue or problem if i could.

you're high and wanted to talk aren't you? LOL

you make great points...there should be a sticky for lsv stuff...and I agree that there are a lot of repetitive questions...let's share that with a mod then...

agreed that was quite the open ended question
