Clutch chatter can be sometimes a common problem. I know alot of 3000GT and DSM guys have the same problem. but its just a little chatter as long as the clutch engages good then u should be ok..

but i do recomend putting some oil on the throw out bearing.

not to point out the obvious, but have you tried letting it out fast to see if the same thing happens?

you are supposed to grease the shaft of the tranny that the throwout slides on.. not alot just a little cover.. i havent had any problems with my act throwout at all

Use white lithium grease over the whole input shaft on the tranny and put some grease on the inside diameter of the TOB.

You can adjust where the clutch grabs by adjusting the bolt on the back of your clutch pedal. Twist it in or out to get it to grab where you want it.

I haven't had any problems with my ACT clutch kit at all. The throw out bearing comes pre-greased, but, like stated before, you have to grease up the input shaft.

I don't think the throw out bearing would cause the symptoms you are describing, but I could be wrong.

How many miles did you say are on the clutch? Did you break it in properly?

Have you tried revving it up and letting the clutch out slowly? Sometimes that takes care of any chattering problems that may occur durring the break in period.

If the springs on your ACT clutch are broken, shoot me a PM and I'll contact my ACT rep, that is definately a product defect.

When you take the pp out, look for irregular wear patterns, scratches, or hot spots.

The disk shouldn't be chipped or cracked, and the springs should be in good shape.

That act bearing they send you in the clutch kit is the same one autozone uses. My friend use to always have a weird sound like that everytime he started up his car/shifted, he never tryed to fix it and he never had a problem..

but this isnt just when i turn the car on its at all times besides when the pedal is down on the floor and its really really loud. i noticed today when i shifted from 2nd to 3rd its not pulling near as hard and when i use to shift hard from 2nd to 3rd it would pull hards and squeek at me now it doesnt pull near as hard and it doesnt squeek.....ttt for a poor man and maybe a fucked clutch.
