So here is an idea to take car security to the next level. The pyrimid looking thing would mount on the dash or in the center councel and with the armed output active when the siren goes off it would active the selinoid filling the car with pepper spray. You could have it pulsed or constant spray by selecting the siren output. The only problem I see is if the armed out out doesnt deactivate a split second before the disarm chirps or if it activates before the arm chirp you may get a small spray every time, that would suck! okay I was bored lemme know what you think.

good idea....I was thinking something similar....I didn't post it cause I didn't know what people would think of the idea. Well, also, only problem I see is if it started shooting off before the thieves got in there and saw it before. Also, everytime ur friend hits ur car, it'll be shooting that **** in ur ride...ur seats will get wet LOL

 

Yeah I think you would definatly have to disable the shock sensor just add like a glass break sensor. I dont think a thief would really notice the spray exspecialy if it was dark and i figure if you just mist it in the car that would be good enough it doesn't take much of that **** to really mess you up, and by it being a fine mist it shouldn't really mess up your interior.

 

or a way to pt a sensor on ur seat so once they sit down it'll shoot at them...what do u think of that idea???

Exactly! That's where the car alarm comes in handy. Ok, check this. You lock...but it won't spray if the alarm goes off until someone sits in ur seat, which is the trigger....but when you turn off the alarm, u can sit there w/out a problem. The seat sensor will only work when the sirens are going off...think about that.

 

you make the assumtion that they sit in your seat while the alarms going off. I cant think of any reason someone would do this. They are going to pop your hood and disconnect your alarm. I think you have watched a little to many James Bond movies.

Once the thing goes off it will cause more damage to your vehicle then the theif was going to do.

Pepper spray lingers even after it has been sprayed you would end up getting it on yourself also.

Lol my cars never been stolen. I used to put a huge effort in security. So much that it ate most of my time up. This is what insurance is for. I think some security is good but you reach a point of diminishing returns. You'll end up spending more on the security then the items that would be stolen out of your car. It's good to have idea's but you have to look at all sides of an idea before you decide it's a good one.

i have an idea. why not buy a container like they use for shipping stuff over seas and keep your car in that. for example...when you go to the movies, rent a crane to transport it around for you, put the container in the parking lost and keep your car safely locked inside. Now this is a pretty stupid idea but it seems like some would almost go to these lengths to protect their cars.

you can just pay your insurance and have a basic alarm like me. remember...its just a car. nothing that cant be replaced.

There are some videos floating around on the net of alarms (South African), included among the flame throwers, swords that chop legs off, tazer door handles and what-not is one that fills the interior with some form of tear gas.

So at the very least your idea is redundant and has already been done.
No sense reinventing the wheel, just buy one of theirs.

theres a slight difference between protecting yourself and protecting your property though and thats where the problem with your little invention lies. if you're being assulted you can pretty much use any means to protect yoruself especially if you fear your life is in danger. Someone stealing you car does not endanger you in any way so....yeah...good luck with that one.

Do u really think I'm going to do this crap? No way am I going to mess up my suede seats. This all ideas for the guy who made this thread. As far as getting sprayed and suing, not as easy as you think. I am not breaking any part of his body. I am not causing him any permanent damage or any serious damage that will endanger his life....so yea....I do have luck with that one. Wow you all are pretty hostile. This was ment to be an entertaining post. I dont think any one really would take the time to do this. I was just bored messing around with a CAD program. Every one needs to learn to relax. Cant we all just get along? We may not always agree but were all here for the same reason, We have an obsession with cars. Hondas in particular.
