I am thinking of lowering the car with eibach pro kit springs. I was going to go with H&R sports but i do not want to deal with hitting ****, espicailly if i get a body kit. Anyone have the eibach springs with koni's or on stock shocks. I am going to get koni's eventually when i can afford them. How does it ride with either and most of all does the car sit level.

 

The Pro-Kit is a good choice. 1.3" front and back drop. The stock shocks will be able to handle the load for a bit but you will be much happier with the set-up once you get's Koni's on.

A friend of mine has that exact set-up on a 2000 SI and I was very impressed with the ride comfort as well as the noticable difference in handling and the drop is perfect, just getting rid of that nasty tire gap.

 

sorry i dont have the pro-kits.. but i do have the sportlines w/ koni yellows.. the ride is excellent.. it handles very well but is also very smooth.. its not bouncy or harsh (IMO).. i've been using this set up for about 3 yrs..

 

I had the the extact same setup with the pro-kit and yellow konis. They worked really great togther, reduced body roll and responsiveness was geatly improved verses stock. They yellows are adjustable height, so you can adjust to the desired ride height. As for the ride even on the lowest height the ride was still smooth just as long the dampeners are not set to full firm. I have had them on medium firmness and the ride wasn't harsh, but on full firm the ride start to get a little harsh.

 

Back when I researched my future suspension setup I decided on Eibach Pro Kit and Koni Yellows..

I'm not sure if this is still the best today though.

 

Is the pro-kit coil overs or just springs? is it worth it to get coilovers?

 

the pro kits are really nice, i have them and they are waiting to be installed.

 

I have the Koni Yellows and Eibach Prokit. I did a lot of research (search under archives and you should find my posts)

I wanted a streetable setup, one where I won't have any problems with negative camber and needing a camber kit (which creates other problems such as bump-steer)

I don't scrape over everything which is a good thing! You'll definitely appreciate that if you decide to get a body kit (which I always discourage anyway)

I autox every other weekend and do canyon runs 2-3 times a week. You'll like the adjustability of the Yellows And, if you're not in the mood for such a stiff ride, you can make it nice and soft.
