Default Check engine light! help!

Ok I have a 98 honda civic DX with a 2000 b20z. Its running off a OBD1 p75 computer. I'm throwing 2 codes. 10 and 17. Intake air temp sensor and vehicle speed sensor. The thing is the car runs fine. The speedo works totally fine and the car seems to run fine temp wise.

The other strange thing is that it didn't happen immediately... it started happening about 5 days after we completed the swap.

I can't think of any more info that you may need but any help with the issue would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

Just curious did you read your codes correct cause if your VSS was throwing a code. from my experiences 99.999% of the time if the VSS is throwing a code your Speedometer will not work.

Also your IAT actually plugged in? did you mess around with the plugs when swapping everything?

Yeah I read them correctly... I've checked it a few times now just to make sure. Thats why I was so curious too cause the speedo is working fine.

And yeah its plugged in... we did have to extend the wires when we first did the swap on the harness to make it fit but this didn't start happening till about 4 days after the swap so it wouldent make me believe it would have anything to do with that.

nope..your speedometer can have da,aged gears or being on its way to going bad and that will throw a checklight..WORST it can happen occasionally and drive you crazy.
