I've got a 2001 civic lx,, got codes P1361, and P1362. Does anyone know what those mean?
Got them after driving when all of a sudden it started backfiring under the hood not the exhaust. and ran really rough. Didn't want to shift into 3rd,4th or 5th, and then stalled. Started it up again after a min or 2 then ran for a minute or 2. Then same thing and kept wanting to stall with foot off the gas. Stalled again, pulled over. Looked under the hood to find the exhaust manifold glowing red hot. Didnt think to check temp gauge inside. Waited a few minutes, then satarted again and ran rough for a few minutes till I got to a friends place. Next day, got in to check it, started right up and drove fine!
What the hell?
Went to friends who has a code puller. P1361 and P1362 came up. Any clues?

make sure its plugged in all the way and that the wires are in good condition. if the harness is good then replace the tdc sensor.
