Default loose timing belt

The other day i was driving my 94 vtec and all the sudden my car started to make a wierd noise. so i wet to a friends house and the noise got louder. I took off the timing belt cover and started the car up again and the timing belt was slapping against the front cover. I later got my car towed to my friends shop and they said since the timing belt came loose that the pistons could have hit the valves and damaged pistons or valves.......... I NEED INPUT.

if the timing belt skiped a tooth then yes you might have a bent valve or 2
Spelling correction: You Went to your friends house. Not you Wet to your friends house
