guys i really need your help and also opinions ,im debeting on going turbo
a fully built b18c 2.0l with je 9.5CR rev hard turbo 12lbs on 91 and with 100(at track)15-18lbs. the only thing that i have been told is that gsr tranny is better for turbo which sucks cause i have itr .and also cause the way that the vtec engages also some have said that gsr head and manifold design is better so all the power dont hit all at ones ! sad thing with that is that im better of getting a j spec gsr motor and fully built it ! ??????

When you are wooried about your ITR tranny and you are a top speed guy, do it like me. Buy a used USDM (4.400) final drive and with the 1st usdm gear (JDM 1st. don´t fit on the USDM shaft) and you have a longer tranny. In combo with JDM 4th and 5th you can hit ybout 280kpH, depends on your engine revs and tire diameter

calculate it here: http://www.osella.com.au/java-gear-ratios-3.htm

i ran stock block..but the motor blew.
so now i have it resleeved, with 84mm 9.1:1cr JE pistons, Crower Rods, knife-edged/balanced crank..did some head work..standalone computer (gonna run AEM). I also ordered a taller first gear (the ATS 3.003) and am using a Clutch Master stage IV clutch..I'll let post dyno pics once the motor is in my car during the next two weeks.

why dont you just get rid of your ITR? it's not a great drag car. Get a Civic, swap an LS non-VTEC B18 into it, and turbo that. you'll be way faster if all you care about is drag racing

I agree with the last inquiry. Man you bought a ITR for what reasons? Prolly the high revs and high compression. Why didn't you just buy a GSR if you wanted turbo. Would have saved enough money to put turbo and other stuff. Just a thought.

Ross And FroggyR please easy on the flames.. we know what the R is made for yada-yada-yada.. anyhow he has a 96 hatch and ITR motor in it, and really wants more power. So he wants to go turbo..

Thomas do this.. if you already want to go turbo.. just fully rebuild that block, get the kit, right fuel management, make sure its all done right the first time and take it from there.
