How fast is a z6 in a crx?
planning on getting a crx from a buddy for a couple hundred bucks. thinking of doing a simple d16z6 swap into it for the time being since I got an extra laying in the garage. How quick would a stock z6 in a crx run on the 1/4 mile?
better get a huge wing, your 1/4 mile time will be like 5 seconds, so youll need some downforce
know one knows what your car will run with a z6 in it, 15's im geussing, maybe 16's depends on the car/driver/track conditions. so swap the motor and take it to the track and let us know how fast u ran

I know its not going to be fast...i was wondering what the 1/4 mile times would be with a stock z6. Just wondering if it will be quicker then my buddies stock d15b in his hatch at 15.3.

I knew someone was going to say BseriesKiller, his times are unheard of really. He just has the right combination and driver to produce a killer time. Don't set your expectations so high if your going to go off of his time.

Also dont get a Z6 thinking its going to be way faster than an A6. I stayed even with my brother in-laws z6 swapped 91 hatch and I have a 91 CRX with an A6 and he did his swap the right way, obd-0 to obd-1 swap and the p28 ecu so no msd switch or anything...

You won't drop 1.5 seconds in 1/4 with only 22 more hp, come on fellows lets be realistic about this. You won't even drop a second with that much power. I mentioned it before don't set your expectations so high you will be let down.

well as i said before, my bros car, an 88dx on bald 13s was hitting 15.3s with an mpfi swap an si tranny. we put in a y7block/y8 head deal and got it to go 14.7s. pretty impressive for a stock sohc on bald 13s. this was with the timing advanced all the way, and running a pg7 ecu.

Actually since his is a std and mine is a dx there is only like 70 or so lbs difference and he has rear drum and i have rear disc which makes mine heavier I also have sway bars and he doesnt plus strut bars and he doesnt so technically they are pretty compariable in weights....
*EDIT* According to this my CRX is only like 24lbs lighter than his std Hatch and I make up for that in sway bars, suspension, and rear discs...http://autos.msn.com/research/...sub=4
