Default B18c re-tuned dyno

Well I originally got tuned on a dyno jet and made 181whp and 127tq with a JDM gsr with buddy club spec3+, 4-1 header, skunk 2 IM, 310cc injectors, b&m fpr, Hondata s100. So that being said, I went to another place and got tuned on dyno pack today and dynoed a 169whp. My baserun was 150whp which was from the previous "tune" or crappy *** job. So I picked up almost 20whp, I'm very happy. It feels much smoother and much better top end vs all mid-range. Here are the dynos.

james knows what he is doing....

and.....YOU CAN NOT COMPARE 2 DIFFERENT DYNOS!!!!! that is like comparing apples to oranges....

a dyno is ONLY a TUNING TOOL!

Well if we comparw your re-run first run to last dyno and then last retuned run, you are doing quite well.

What was done to give you so much top end. Cams? Ignition? or Fuel?

Where was the issue with the old tune?

I'm using just a shortram, they tuned the cam gears on the second tune and also corrected the a/f ratio.

look into type r aem cai, it will bump you up around 4400 and it will loose a bit under 3000, but looks like it would compliment your setup quite nice and give you flat tq curve...

do you know what your cams endded up at? also is your head milled or block decked?

I have similar setup and plan on dynoing tomorrow.

11.5 b18c1, stock head 3 angle valve aem cai, bc3+, blox IM, Crome Pro, jdm type r 4into 1, so it will be interesting to compare...

Good stuff! Looks like you made power all the way throughout the powerband compared to when you walked in there. Bump up you compression some next and you should see real nice results with those cams.

Use this calculator to calculate for dynamic compression, so you can see how much compression your cams bleed off. This way you can choose a set of pistons that will complement your cams, if you choose to get pistons.

I dont know. I had an Iceman CAI for an ITR, and produced a far better powerband by converting the Iceman to a short ram. However it would hurt to try.

I did the same thing, i tuned on a dynojet and then on a dynapack and produced about the same numbers after having headwork done, so i am going back to the original dyno in about a week or 2 so I can really see how much better I really did.

pretty good numbers man... But I have seen much smoother curves before. I am not putting down the tuner because I live in MD and know JE does good work. But my torque curve used to look like yours and I got a retune and got about 10 wheel more power.....

Dyno on the original dyno again and see what you get in #'s

tq curve is reasonable, graph scaling messes it up, nothing wrong there...
