Default auto trany change over

I own a 97 prelude SH the only thing I dislike about my car is it being automatic. At this point in time I'm ready to do a change over to manual. Now, I've been told that my ecu isn't compatible and that I don't have to use an H22 transmission that I could use an F22 or H23 trany. if this is the case whwat would be the difference about the swap prsedures and what are the disadvantages of each? about the ecu I've heard I can have it reflashed to be compatible with the standard trany is this true and if so were can it be done? Any help will be appreciated.

You don't have an SH.

I would suggest contacting http://www.blacktrax.net to have your manual swap done. They have done many 5th gen manual swaps and they have a source for all the parts needed.

Lol...You don't have an SH model Prelude, cause all SH models are 5spd. You just have an SS model

It's a big project, I've done it on a 94, and can see a 97 only being harder. keep in mind switching the shifter, linkage, axels, pedal assemnbly, and don't forget

the hydrolic clutch lines, those were fun

Default SH

Alright guys I made a little mistake there on the SH but the thing is that even though I'm not that familiar with hondas (obviously) I'm going to do this myself I might mess up and thats why I need your help as much as possible. I think thats the best way to learn.
