Hello i have a 89 si with a b16a, i have fuel + spark and it also cranks but no start. It used to start up easy, the car has been sitting for a while and now it doesn't start just cranks. If i spray brake cleaner in the throttle it will start but die when i stop spraying it. injectors may not be spraying out maybe? any suggestions guys/girls? thanks? may this be a main relay prob?

 

well i thought if ur main relay is bad then u stop getting power to the ecu...so i dont think that u will be gettin fuel and spark...i could be wrong though...
gas does go bad after a while...how long has it been sitting?

 

well it used to start, then not start no more. then i sprayed brake cleaner in the throttle body and it will start and stay on, now couple weeks later it wont start so i sprayed some brake cleaner in the throttle it will start but wont stay on anymore just till it burns off the brake cleaner. the gas is old there was a little and i poured 5 gallons of 91 octane in it.

 

stop spraying **** down the hole, thats bad for you rings. maybe you fuel filter is clogged or an injector is clogged. how long has she been sitting ?

check ur plugs...they might have got all fouled up from the gummy gas that was sitting in the tank

 

thanks for the help guys. i replaced the fuel filter, plugs and main relay works now. i think it was the fuel filter and gummy gas, the fuel that came out of the fuel filter looked pretty grimey.
