I've been having problems with my car starting poorly for nearly a year. Usually when I try to start the car before its warmed up (it is REALLY shitty in the winter) it'll crank with the fuel pump on, but the motor sounds like its a firing at the wrong time cause the motor makes clunking sounds and only actually starts after 3-6 times of cranking which usually results in flooding the motor. Of course once its running EVERYTHING works great.
Well this morning I cranked it as usual and it made the noises, but then it just stopped cranking.
When I turn the key or push the clutch in I can hear the starter engaging (clicking) but it wont turn the motor. Then if I turn the crank manually I can hear the starter click again as it retracts.

Pop starting works, but does this sound like an electrical problem to anyone? Please help!!!

are your interior lights dim? usually when your starter just kicks but doesn't turn the motor over you don't have enough juice in the battery. then you have to figure out why the battery isn't holding charge, your alternator........ hope this gives you some help to figuring out your problem bro.

I'm gonna replace the starter today because I was messing around with it and got it to start by beating on the starter with a hammer.
