what is the best exhaust to put on a 1999 civic ex everyone gimme your opinions please?

i was thinking of like trying to get the deepest sounding one...

also which would most of you recomment... full catback exhaust....or custom piping with a muffler...

For the deepest tone you would always want the biggest exhaust components, like resonators and mufflers. Basically when you buy a cat-back you buy a proven product that is known to sound good to certain people, so you can search and find feedback on it, versus a custom setup, where you don't really know what's going to sound like. You only have an idea, unless you make custom exhausts for a living...

Spoon N1 is pretty deep, or atleast mine is.

 

i would go with the hks hi power catback or the evo... personally, greddy is the ****.

Thermal R & D classic cat back... Very load & throaty... i have a 96 EX, it can set off car alarms if i want. Very good quality too. It doesn't sound like *** on top end either.

 

Do some searching. You cant just ask a question about which exhaust is best, there are so many. Everyones opinion is based on what they think looks best, sounds best, performs best for there situation. Do you plan to keep it stock? Go all motor? Go turbo? Supercharge? Swap? Click on the search button, theres tons of information out there on such a simple thing as exhausts.

I just got Invidia catback used from a member. Installed it last night, fits pretty good, but rubs on the bumper slightly(I have an EG coupe). Sounds DEEP and throaty. I love the way it sounds, but it might get annoying after awhile. I'll see how the highway drive to work is here in a few minutes. It has a silencer also, it kinda looks like there are 2 levels of silencing you can use with it. We just jammed it into the muffler to see what it sounded like, and honestly it didn't sound too bad. Didn't really have that fart sound like Apex'i N1 does with a silencer in. Outside the car, its not loud at all. Has a smooth/deep/aggressive tone to it.

it depends on what you want. like sound performance and so on. but i love my comptech.

It doesn't matter, you will hardly have any gains and make your car more into a thief magnet.
