Default My CRX

Here's the CRX I've been working on. It's almost done now, at least it's drivable.

That's a B18a1

Thanks to everyone for the help here

I think if you change the exhaust, and paint it, it would be nice

The front end is simply just too big for the rest of the car and doesn't flow well with the crazy aggressive style in my opinion. But, whatever, I guess it's different right?

I agree. The front bumper is too ... uh ... radical. But then I'm not a fan of body kits in general.

The important question is: How's it running? Looks like its fun to drive.

peace

Not digging the rims or the front bumper. Still looks nice though. Oh yeah, put your exhaust under your car.

b18a1 is running great...Third gear scratches around 55 mpg...

The side skirts were already on the car when I got it. It came w/ the back bumper, but it was broken in half. I fiberglassed it back together.

The front bumper is blitz polyurathane bumper, probably gonna replace it when I get a chance.

Yeah...the wheels are from a BMW. After I replaced the front axles, knuckles, hub, and calipre...the 13" wheels didn't fit anymore, so I had to make a quick run to the junkyard to find a set to go driving on. That the only set I found.

The exhaust was already on the car when I got it, lil loud for me, but it'll do til it NEEDS to get replaced.

Pulled out the FB hf motor and replaced it with the b18a1 I got from some kid working at a honda/acura shop. Got the motor, tranny, mounts, axles and ecu for $500...tranny has a lil grind in 4th, but not too bad. Mounts are Hasport.

K&N intake came with the car, as well as the coilovers...headers also came w/ the engine.

Dashboard and accessories were already painted yellow when I got the car, not thrilled about it, but can live with it.

What I'm working on right now is the steering alignment. Shop won't attempt to put it on their ramp, as it sits too low, so I have to align it myself. Been messing with it for a few days now. It's driving pretty straight, but tires squeel a bit on turns.

Also obviously needs a lil body work...mostly sanding...gonna fiberglass the back bumper into the body and gonna paint it the original red.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. If anyone has any tips for the alignment would be most appreciated. As well as any information about high idle. I forgot to mention it idles a lil high...around 1200.

Thanks again
TK

I don't know why this thread got sent to appearance/cosmetics

It was really not a post about the looks of my car, just posting a few pictures to show that it was done. Got the engine in, and wanted to thank H-T members for all the technical help I have recieved.

I'm not really interested in how it look, just how it runs and handles. Sure, I'll get it painted when I get a chance, but I don't really car what it looks like. If it was about the appearance, I would had it painted before putting up pix.

oh well...

anyway thanks again for all the help, maybe I'll post some pix when the body is done.
