Hey guys, i got a 98 gsr and im looking for some engine mods, where can i get a "good looking" manifold for a moderate price and some good headers...

 

I have some racing seats, brembo brakes, rota rims (gunmetal black 16's) Falken azenis rt165 tires, OBX-R exhaust and 2in piping, my car is bark blue with black/baige interior...

 

2in piping is kinda small..?

 

yes it is small.

aim for 2.5" from the header back and it'll free up some power

I like the new Skunk2 Pro manifold. Has bungs if you want NOS. It works with there 65mm throttle body. It also looks killer after they finally got there heads out of there *** and put a shiny logo on it. Headers to me are all the same Ebay, DC Sports, Skunk2.
Most of the expensive ones don't even use full stainless flanges. I would just save money and buy a cheap full stainless 4-1 header. Oh, yeah check your exhaust inner diameter again because I believe stock diameter was like 2.25".

 

if ur going to go turbo in the future then get the Edelbrock IM. I just got it. Compared to Skunk2...damn it's huge as ****! I haven't driven my car yet since the engine is out of it but I'll dyno my car since I have new internals in my engine now. If your going turbo, don't waste ur money on header cause u won't have use for it in future...but if ur not going turbo. get Skunk2 IM w/ intake (short ram) don't bother w/ cold air...doesn't do much difference really.....and a header..DC Sports 4-1 (1 piece) will do just fine for u....then reset ur ECU and u'll see some HP diff

 

for all motor go with skunk2 intake manifold or blox. for turbo go edelbrock victor x, str, or golden eagle intake manifolds. personally i like str and golden eagle. as for the headers dc sports, skunk2, or greddy. check HONDATECH FOR BEST DEALS OR ebay, import horizon, or morepowerracing.

 

Thnx. im still looking for some stuff to put on and some engine mods. throttle body cam shafts...but yeah am still a NoOb on this...

Skunk 2 intake manifold, DC 4-1 one piece JDM 2.5" (USDM only 2.25"), Toda Stage 2 cams, valvetrain, and cam gears. Then maybe some crower rods and Type R pistons. After all that you'll need some bigger injectors and some tuning and you will be good to go.

Sounds good but I doubt he'll be spending all the money, since he just bought that car. Taring up the engine and all...

I'd do it if I had the money

 

i still need about 1g in maintanace and another 2-2.5g in upgrades so i need some money b4 i do upgrades, but i covered the maintanance...

Why did you buy a car that needs 1g in maintenance? Damn man there are other tegs out there are are in good condition. I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for it.
