Default Slightly OT: Friendly people..heh that's funny

So I was out lastnight just cruisin in a friends new Diesel tow truck he wanted to show me. It was in the middle of nowhere, saw some ***** bag in a S2000 come up beside us, the light was red and I was checking out his car. He had a really clean setup, nice exhaust, nice drop and clean LE37's. So his top was down and I gave him thumbs up on his car and told him I liked the volks. He looked at me and turned his head! Seriously, I'm glad I only live in the states for 6 months out of the year. The people down here are just ridiculous...I usually never say anything about peoples cars and just keep it to myself....but sh*t I don't understand some people down here I was laughing at the end, we came to another red light and the guy tried to heel-toe on his downshifts... so I was looking at his brake lights when he was shifting and what was funny was... I never saw the lights go on once...that tranny is gonna get owned one of these days haha

you think that's strange.....about two weeks ago, a friend and I was chillin in a parking lot. Some dude walks up to him and we thought he was going to compliment his car. Seeing as how he was kinda eyeing it from a distance. Instead he says to my friend " hey....ya know I can steal yo RSX right?"

If it wasn't for me holding my friend back....I think that guy would've been stabbed with a wakasashi..........

No offense, but I would not have given you a response either.

There's too many thieves out there for me to trust strangers. An attention getting car and being quick to chat with anyone about the car, does not help to keep the car safe.

Something like this happened today to me, except i didn't try to do any heel-toe stuff or any "hype r tricks" haha. A guy in a red civic w/ a cf hood and a "i  my honda" sticker on his rear windshield was coming up from behind me on the freeway. He changed lanes and slowly passed by while giving me the thumbs up. He exited and i sped up a bit to see him off. And that was it...it's actually a first for me.

Pull up next to me in a tow truck... and show interest in my car... and i'll probably call the cops on you.

Theives just seem to enjoy towing our cars and I won't be nice.

No f**kin' doubt.

However, I'm quick to compliment nice looking cars with a thumbs up or a wave or whatever, and most of the time I get snubbed

Serious. What kind of gas economy is your friend getting in a tow truck to be cruising around in it?

Maybe its just me, but I dont have to trust somebody to simply say "Thank you". I'm probably never going to see them again, and in all honesty if you are worried about a tow truck following you around, just ditch out. I mean every possible scenario I can think of doesnt merit having lack of common courtesy or manners. Then again I guess my life isnt all about cars.

It wasn't an actual fu*kin tow truck, it was a GMC 2005 w.e diesel truck he uses for his car washing business to tow his trailer hahaha not a damn Tonka tow truck heh...of course I wouldn't say anything either if I was in that position lol But sh*t the guy should atleast say thanks and drive away... S2000's are everywhere around here, it's not like it's a ITR.
