NEED ADVICE ON CHOOSING MY ECU SETUP! HELP!
I have a dilemma and need ur guys help on making my decision. Right now i have a b16a (first gen) running on a chipped P30 ecu. I have no idea what program, (vtec comes on at 4000rpm, revs past 9000rpm) and i was thinking about running the Apex VAFC 2 on it and just tuning it off of that...but then i was thinking about getting a stock p30 ecu and getting the hondata s200 program on it and tuning off of that setup. Any suggestions? Does the Apex Vtec controller work well or is hondata walk all over it? Planning to do valve train upgrades...so i need the one that will give me the biggest power gain. I also heard that the Apex controller has limits on what it can control, while hondata is fully tunable and has more options....need some feedback please! thanks

stay obd1 if you are already obd1, tuning is much easier with uberdata/chrome, turbo edit(obd0) takes too long to log cells, which means you gotta stay at a constant rpm and vac/boost to get a cell logged, it sucks imo. or you can go with crome pro, cost 150 bucks to get the program but there is a reason, AUTO TUNE. it tunes your a/f to what you want it to be at a certain vac/boost. thast my next upgrade.
and if you are obd0, do yourself a favor and convert to obd1.
about the hondata, why spend a **** load of money when you can get free programs that do the same damn thing? unless your planning on looking for 700whp, go with the free stuff

convert to obd1, get a chipped p28, (they are cheap and sold everywhere, cheapest place would be http://www.homemadeturbo.com i bet. get it setup for datalogging, it will be about 130-150 for ecu that you can datalog with and has either uberdata or chrome.
i forget the guys name on the pgmfi website, but he sells crome pro, autotune. everyone ive talked to say its the best 150 bucks theyve ever spent, and woiuld never think about going back to uberdata/turboedit.

oops, i didnt really read your first post, just the second post on what the guy posted, but either buy another ecu setup for datalogging, or ship yours of to get either program you would like, and enjoy
edit: p28 should do, doenst really matter you can get the stock b16 basemap, and go from there
p.s. i have a chipped p28 for sale, but it isnt setup for datalogging

Anyone heard if u really need the s300 if u are gonna run an all motor setup? I heard its really good for boosted cars but is overdone for all motor cars.....I do like that it has real time updating tho, but i dunno if i wanna spend the extra cash b/c im too lazy to turn the car back on and off....
