93 da with b18c vtec pops and the car bogs down and wont go past when vtec engages and it has an afc and we already changed the solenoid and tried a different ecu and nothing helps umm when vtec was set at 5500 the car bogged so i did an expirement and changed vtec to 7000 and then it want all the way to 7 and then we changed it to 4000 and it bogged at 4 so what could the problem be???????????????????????????????

 

maybee its the correction you have set on the afc for when vtec kicks in

did u check the ignition coils because my gsr was doin that and i found that i had a bad ignition coil.

 

i dunno if this is the same thing happening to u...but one time, i downshifted from 5th to 4th..and when i hit 4th, the car shook real bad..so i pulled over....as i accelrated, nothing pulled, super weak...but DAMN!...vtec was FREAKING LOUD!!!!!!....so i replaced my disturoubuter (sp ck)...and now its fine..so i was assuming it wasent fireing in a cylinder...so maybe check ur disturbuter...hey i think i spelt it right this time...alright, im going to go get a cookie from my mom.

 

hey did ur car just slow down and not acclerate acura?? regaurding the distributor cap?? at 80 would it accelerate on the freeway?
