Ok to remove cat heat shield?

Default Ok to remove cat heat shield?

My cat heat shield is rattling because it is hanging off on one side. Is it ok to remove it? I'm pretty sure the top is fine, but can I just take off the bottom?

mine did the exact same thing and i think its perfetly fine to remove it no more sounds for me!!

Yea its ok to remove it...
but i have same problem in the CRX and the 325i,
area by the shift gets warm, nice in the winter (but i dont drive the CRX in the winter) but sucks in the summer when the CRX has no AC
