got screwed over by insurance and now i got a wrecked car taking up space at our shop..now someone i know offered me 500 for it...i dont have pics of it yet but heres the rundown off the top of my head...

hood

work on the frame machine
wiring work
probably a couple other things here and there but not much else...i have ek seats in there for the time being but i will probably keep them...

so is it worth $500? if not how low do you guys think i should go

i forgot it needs airbags and a windshiled as well...the airbags broke the windshield...

this is my old DD so there really wasnt much work done to it

 

sounds pretty good to me! post pics on here try to sell it for more...if you cant get it then let it go for 500!

Just based on the laundry list of what's wrong with the car I would say it isn't worth $200, so if he's offering $500, take the money and run..

 

the tranny clutch and headers cost me nearly 400...
hmmm...well the guy offered to take it witht he seats for 500...the motor is in tip top shape...never had a single problem

$500 sounds like a pretty fair price if not a little expensive. Go for it.

 

500 sounds good, thats a project n a half... even tho u dropped 400 on the clutch, and w/e else u said.. u can't always get back wut u put in the car..

im in so cal...please dont turn this into a for sale thread im not trying to get it locked...i just want peoples opinions...it is also a salvage title and he knows it too but doesnt seem to care...he just wants a good DD i guess...the motor still runs strong

500 sounds like a good deal to me.
if he ends up buying it
if he doesnt, you could always part it out...

parting out takes too long..and then how am i gonna get rid of the stripped hull when its all done...a junkyard isnt gonna take it just to get the quarter panels off of it...i think im gonna get rid of it...but keep the opinions coming
its just hard to let go cuz it was my first car...i love the coupe styling..ahhh oh well i need the money and space

 

if you can replace whats broken..why dont you replace the windshield, get dummy covers for the airbags (AND INFORM THE POTENTIAL BUYER), and anything else u need to do, then sell it for 2k+...you could still make some money off of this thing...just my .02, although i dont know how bad the damage is...

Its worth more than 500 in parts, but if you dont want to deal with the hassle, just sell it for that...just know that the guy will make a profit

 

i could part a car down beyond the bone lol - im sure you could do pretty well parting it out and still sell a stripped as shell to some one for 50 bucks lol

 

i would either rebuild it if you have extra cash and can sit on it for a bit. Then sell it as a complete vehicle for dd.

Or part it out. and either give away just the shell for drag purposes. either way you will make your money. But if you need quick cash 500 is fair amount.
