OIL PRESS GAUGE INSTALL, ONE ???? PLEASE.
I just got the mechanical oil press gauge, and I see the fittings that come with it. But the one looks like the thread pitch would be was to BIG. And it also looks like I will lose my sending unit. Is there another place to tap or everything should fit fine? I guess I could go to like Homedepot and get a 3way fitting, would that be better?
Any help would be great. I hit the brakes hard yesterday and my oil light started to flash. When I turned the car off and then on again it was gone and never came back on until I had a hard stop. So I am getting kinda scared about what is going on in there.

check the level ifi its fine then its the pressure and maybe the pump is aging. It also could be sludge buildup slowing flow. For the gauge u need to get a fitting from your local speed shop that threads into a honda block but has a female thread for a compression fitting to run to the gauge with nylon line if you have a mechanical gauge. You said you had a sending unit so it must be a electric gauge so u will need the fitting and then run the line from the fitting to the sender that you mount somewhere in the engine bay then a wire from the sender to the gauge. Also dont forget to ground the sender if its not threaded into the block

It is mechanical I was talking about the stock sending unit. Can I remove that and put the fitting there? I guess the stuff that comes with the gauge is crap and i cant realy use it right?

It is best to get a fitting that allows you to keep you stock oil pressure sender and your aftermarket one ( a tee fitting) just be sure to tape up the treads with that soft white tape ( forgot what its called) and you should have no problems
there is no need to keep the stock oil sender. All it does is illuminate the oil light if pressure drops below 5psi. I doesnt communicat with the ecu at all and makes for a lengthyer install. If you cant notice that your gauge is reading low then keep the stock sender but u dont need it
Do I just disconect the light from the cluster then? You know, so I don't have a red oil light on. Should I use the plastick feed line that came in the kit? Or should I get a copper line?

i used the nylon/plastic line just dont kink it. My sender was broken in half and wasnt connected when i bought my car, not sure what the previous owner did to make the light not illuminate with it unplugged
