Well I was putting together a log manifold, and have a small issues with inside fit up. I'm using sch40 fittings. The way I cut the tee's and the 90's there is a ridge on the inside of the pipe about 1/16" all the way around.

Does anyone have a way to grind this ridge off? Being stainless I have a feeling its not going to be easy to remove alot of the material. Any ideas are appreciated.

did you use a chop saw?

just grind them out with a die grinder

 

Problem is actually getting in the runners. They are welded up. I used a bandsaw to cut the fittings.

 

why did you weld them with the edges in there?


you shouldve ground them before welding

 

Stupid noob mistake Didn't notice it until I had welded them up.

 

cut grind reweld. unless you can figure out a better way.

maybe see if you can get is sandblasted...?

 

what i use to grind those inside burs off is a rotary file on my die grinder. it takes it off nice and easy.
