okay my caps lock was on is this better
anyways my 1/4 mile time is 14.2 with interior and street tires. I only have the basic bolt ons such as a aem cold air and a 98jdmitr headers with a 2.5 exhaust. I would like to have other suggestions. A lot of my friends say that the skunk 2 pro series is a good mf to get. And that I need a bigger throttle body. I also have other people telling me that my stock mf is okay. What would you suggest?

I would say then spend your money elsewhere. There are other things you can get for the money for better perfomance gains. What are your goals? I'd say stick with the stock one for now.

His goals are to hit 13s.... at least from his last post.....

have you improved on your 60ft time yet?

Keep the stock intake manifold for now.

What do your time slips look like. I've been hitting 14.4 stock. I'm curious what yours look like.

That times seems pretty on par for MPH and ET. I'd say maybe try lowering tire pressure to hit a 2.0 60ft and that should bring your ET down a bit. For reference I went 96 MPH with the 14.4

As these guys said, there are other things holding you back than the IM and TB. The stock ITR ones are pretty good to start with, so unless you go with something like the $1200 AIR one, you won't see big gains, especially with stock cams and compression.

Do absolutely nothing to the car, just learn to drive it. If you get your 60ft time down to a 2.0-2.2, you'll easily be in the 13's.

2.7? thats what you need to work on....

plus, you dont need an IM/TB unless you have some very serious work done internally, imo.

Seems odd to me too.
My 2.3-2.4 runs got me high 14's @ mid/high 90's (maybe 95-97ish ?) with I/H/E on a stock ECU.

A bigger IM and TB should be one of the last mods you should do. There are plenty of all-motor peeps over the 200whp mark using the stock ones. You could taper bore the stock TB to, say, 70mm and retain the stock butterfly for about $100USD. It probably would do much though.

Any plans on internals or a F/I set-up?
