Default Few Questions About B16A2 Block in a Crx, Take a Look.

1. It's a B16a2 BLOCK, which is the 92-95 sirII motor.
2. Will my Ys1 usdm Cable trans fit up to the block.
3. Can i get a b16a2 head or b16a head and throw a Obdo intake manifold on it.
4. I already have stock B series headers, and the other parts should fit, etc etc.
5. Will it have anything on it that might not be the same as a regular B16a?.

Thats it, other then if i forgot anything i'll post up if i remember. Please leave positive simple comments or answers, thanks.

the tranny will work you'll need to use the flywheel that matches the tranny.
i think all the b16 heads are the same, so your manifold should work
your headers will work.

i have a b16a3 in my crx with a ys1 tranny, i just had to match the fly wheel to the tranny

2. Yes. All B series transmissions will bolt to all B series blocks (excluding that funky prelude B20A2). As said above, however, you will need to use the appropriate flywheel and clutch.

3. Yes. Though if you can get an OBD-I manifold, do that. They flow better.

4. Yes, the header will fit.

5. It may have the fan switch on the thermostat housing vs having it on the back of the OBD-O block. But buy a complete B16A2 block with all sensors and you shouldn't have a problem.

BUMP again, i forgot to ask.
1. Will my obdo dizzy/distributor i took off the b18 fit on my b16 head, and work with my hf harness?.
2. I notice that when i turn the motor over, that pistons 1 and 4 are at the top, 4 seems like it is slightly a bit lower then 1, is this normal or is it off a little bit?.
3. The block looks GREAT, not too bad carbon build up, And i called the dealer and got em to look up the vin# on the block, and it came out of a 99 SI 2 door.

I have a B18C with a B18C flywheel (Action lightweight FW) and a 91 YS1 LS cable tranny, and I haven't noticed any problems. For my clutch setup I had to get the 91 YS1 LS setup though. Why do you say you have to match the FW to the tranny?

B18A distributor won't bolt up to the head properly. I'm sure you could modify it to work though. Don't worry about the positions of the pistons. It's probably fine. Have the block decked to be sure that it's straight and have the head surfaced too

What do you mean have the block "decked", lol it's alright mint condition on the top of it. All it really needs is some acetone to clean it up with or some laquer, cause i did wanna clean it up a little. Also you sure about the height of the pistons, i mean 1 and 4 look close but not quite, 4 is like a quarter of a inch or a little less, lower then 1, i just thought that was strange unless that is actually normal on the b16's?.
