i recently picked up a block super cheap at a swap meet. my question is... is there any way i can check to see if the block is legit? they took the vin tags off, so all im left with is the block serial number. please help!!! thanks
dont put it on your car...
if you happen to get pulled over and you have it on, theyll bust you pretty damn fast...
hondas + no vin = bad news...

unless the block/head is 97+, there isn't going to be a VIN # on it. pre 97, honda put the vin # on the tranny only in US cars. you can run the block's serial # thru local PD's. That's about it.
i recently bought a engine and called the chp and they told me that it is private info and they couldnt tell me if it was stolen or not .. i called a local police station they said the vin came up not stolen ... but i still wonder if the car was just recovered and the engine is stolen ... well i will see very soon .. the car is getting a chp vin inspection and i will just give them all the information of the guy i bought it from
