2002 TRANY PROBLEMS
I HAVE A 2002 ACCORD AUTO TRANY IT HAS ABOUT 52000 MILES ON IT. MY TRANY IS STARTING TO SLIP IN 2ND GEAR AND GOT TO THE POINT WERE IT WOULD REV HIGH AND NOT HIT 2ND GEAR. ALSO AT ONE POINT ON THE FREEWAY IT STARTED JERKING HELLA BAD. I DIDNT DRIVE IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND DROVE IT TO SEE HOW IT WOULD HANDLE AND NOW ONLY 2ND GEAR REVS A LITTLE HIGH BEFORE CHANGEING GEARS. iVE BEEN TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW TRAY, BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAS ANY OTHER IDEAS.
Change the trans fluid, it may have oxidized or overheated.
If that doesn't help
Honda had a recall on 2000 and 2001 accords for Transmission problems. It might be worth a phone call to first your local Honda dealer's service dept and ask for assistance. If your's is an early production unit, they might give some consideration, so have your registration card handy when you call.
And for Gods' sake, be polite and be ready to field questions about maintaince history.
