Del sol tire help
Hey, i have a del sol and i need 4 new tires badly. I was on tirerack.com and they said that 205/50 was recommended but i looked on my tires i have on now and it said 205/40/15. is there any siginificant difference between 205/40 and 205/50? I am also looking at the different tires they have and i cant seem to find one that suits my needs. I need it to be an all season performance tire. Something around $80 per tire? Can you guys recommend me something?
Actually, I think 195/50-15 would be a better size to use. The stock size is 185/60-14 and the 195/50-15 is almost an exact match to the outer diameter, so it will maintain the accuracy of your speedometer and odometer, etc. However, there aren't as many all-season tires offered in 195/50-15, and the Kumho ASX doesn't come in that size. But the Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical would be a good choice, at $68/tire in 195/50-15.

195/50-15 is better for his Del Sol. There's less chance of rubbing, and it's a closer match to the stock outer diameter, so it won't affect the accuracy of the speedometer/odometer as much:
185/60-14 stock
195/50-15 -0.3 percent
205/50-15 +1.5 percent
(Remember, his Del Sol doesn't use the same stock size tires as your Integra does.)
185/60-14 stock

205/50-15 +1.5 percent
