Default h22a with h23a mods

I am going to install an h22a engine instead of the h23a1 in my prelude si. I am wondering though if any of my modifications will still bolt-on on the new engine. They are: AEM powerpullies, Aem intake DC-S headers, 10.3 mm wires and spark plugs. Please any info on reuseable parts would be helpful. Also can I run the tranny from the h23a1 on the h22a engine.

Intake and pullies are the only things that will swap onto the H22.

Yes, you can run the H23 tranny but it is not the better choice between and H22 and H23 tranny.

i would reccomend usdm h22 trans not jdm h22....my h23 trans has shorter gears than the jdm h22 trans. maybe its just in the final, i dont really know but this is in comparisson to my friends full h22 jdm swap and my h23 tranny on my h22 swap.

What? Your H23 tranny has SHORTER gears compared to an H22 tranny?? How is that possible? Also, the 4th Gen USDM AND JDM trannies have the SAME gears. The USDM 5th gen H22 tranny has slightly longer gears compared to the 4th Gen tranny, but slightly shorter gears than the H23 tranny.

well in comparrison i run out of gears a lot faster to the same amount of rev's..and at 80 im about 4,000 rpms and he's only like 3,500. im sure mines is h23 trans, but i'll check his tranny code to identify it better.

I have h23, 80mph @ 3400-3500. But then again, mine is auto - is there that much of a difference in the final gearing?

JDM and USDM 4th Gen H22 trannies have the same gearing.

H22 and H23 trannies share the same 1st and 5th Gears. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are different.

Hi I'm a Honda noob, but I just want to clarrify something.

A H23A gearbox will bolt on to a H22A and therefore F20B right?

I ask because I can get a H23A gearbox and F20B engine quite cheap (the F20B comes with auto which i'd ditch) and if the above is correct saying the H23A has shorter gears that'd be better for drag racing and circuit work (what my car will be set for).

one thing as well, and i cant find anything on this so it might be an Australian only gearbox or something, but the H23A gear box available has a code M2K4. that code is not showing up anywhere here and it pretty much not on the internet. would anyone know if it has an LSD or not?

is there any strength difference betwen h23 boxes and h22 boxes? from what i have heard honda gearboxes are basically indestructible...

well not indestructible, but pretty good in comparison with other fwd boxes made by other manufacturers (mazda for example in my protege5 is weak as p!ss)
