I was doing a Throttle body service on my B16a last week, I Noticed a couple of bolts holding something in in the back part of the throttle body. Took out the bolts & touched somethin that I was not supposed to...I think it's called the butter fly, I somehow managed to put it back in ... started the car up & then the car was revvin up all the way up to 5000 rpm... Played aruond with the butterfly for a while & everything seemed normal. Next morning When I start the car up, rev's @ 1500 rpm for about 3 minutes & then gradually goes down to 800 rpm.

Any idea how to fix this?

 

i probably just the cold start. i think that all mpfi cars have the cold start.

 

Mine does the same thing. It goes up to 2K and drops to 750 after warmed up. I got used to it tho.

 

thats a normal cold start
