Default Need an alarm recommendation

I got my 90 hatch a couple months ago, I've enjoyed it a lot since then. I'll have a b16 dropped in it within a couple weeks and I've got lots of plans as far as putting work into the car.

Before I drop all this money into it, though, I need to put an alarm on the car. I don't want remote entry or anything, I just want to ensure that the car (or anything inside it/under the hood) isn't gonna get stolen. Anyone have any recommendations, price estimates, etc?

don't bother. alarms are annoying and just bother you and everybody near the car. if someone wants it they are going to take it with or without an alarm

u dont need an expensive alarm. Just get your basic alarm and full coverage. If ur willing to spend a little more, get lojack or some kind of tracking system. It'll also lower your premium (at least it should).

Is there a brand I should ask for? What should I be looking to pay for the basic alarm including install?

i got my viper for free from a buddy of mine that had it in his s-10 and got a different car and wanted his system taken out, so he let me have the alarm for pulling out his system.
my roomate paid 350 for his clifford.
we went to ultimate electronics on sunday and they had several alarms there, just go to your local stero shop and see what alarms they offer.
