Default New Cobra Seat - Help me Please! Slightly OT I think.

But I don't know where else to ask - and I figure you guys
are my best shot since you won't just say "get the uber-bling JDMerz y0!"
I recently bought a Cobra Suzuka GT with side mounts.
Now I'm trying to mount it in my DC2. Will normal sliders
like the memoryfab ones work ?

If you're running a wider seat or know the answer,
PLEASE (pretty please?) Help me out.

TIA

I have a Cobra Suzuka GT seat in my Prelude. I bought the adj. seat rail from the place I bought the seat. I ended up doing a lot of modifications to the adj. seat rail (one being no more adj.) in order to fit right. Looking back at all the mods, I could've just started from scratch.

Would be best if you provided some links, or information on what you are trying to put together here - I dont know what a memory seat mount is.....

Either way, if you want it mounted *right* then have a race shop fabricate a seat mount for you. Will take them a few hours and cost you $200-$300.

Memoryfab sells these:
They have a set specific to dc2 floorpan. I just don't know if the side mounts
will fit them since the seat is a wider width.
I know these aren't really what RR guys see as ideal, but I can't really afford
a custom base setup.
Anyone know if Wedge engineering makes a slider mount for the GT seats?

Pic doesnt work

I'd call them up and ask..... either way, anything you do 'prefab' is going to reduce headroom compared to a custom mount.

It looks like there is a pretty big range of adjustment there, so I'd think that it would accomodate a wide range of seats - check to see if they can be returned if you cant make them work.

My only issue with those would be the installed height (headroom) and the safety of the whole assembly in an impact. The sparco sliders are FIA approved, thats what I have in my seat mount and everything is welded together

I'll check on their return policy.
Thanks for your input, it is appreciated.
