Default New Sparco Ring Steering Wheel Instaled (pics)

I installed my new Steering wheel today and also removed all airbags (this is really a track only car). I picked up a Sparco Ring steering wheel (leather) and hub from BlueR who gets for being a great person and shipping things out so quickly.

Airbag removal was pretty straight forward except for a couple of bloody knuckles trying to reach hidden bolts and nuts. I was really amazed at how much the airbags weigh - that is always a bonus getting that out of the car.

The Sparco wheel is 330mm and feels great. It has a flat bottom which is nice for those with long legs. I will probably pick up a 30mm spacer to bring the wheel just a bit closer to me.

Cool steering wheel. Do you find a difference in effort to turn the wheel?

Looks really good. BlueR gets a big from me. Great seller.

I just picked up a Momo Monte Carlo 320mm and I love it. Way different feel than the Sparco Flash 5 350mm I was running before.

I'll have to give a driving impression later - I have a track day next week and really only got to take a spin around the block to make sure I had it on straight.

I certainly noticed the smaller size and the need to turn the wheel a bit more...

Smaller diameter wheel feels great. Definately a great upgrade.

Lookin good! A smaller diameter wheel, to me, is a very useful modification on track. The difference is amazing.

I really like the behind the sparco/rollbar pic. Very nice

Nice wheel mang, I use to run the Spoon wheel now I have a suede SPA wheel which is a little bit smaller, feels great to have a smaller steering wheel on the car though...

Granted, my experience in wheel replacement is going from the stock bus wheel in my old Volvo to the smaller and thicker Turbo wheel. But yeah, even my wagon feels more fun to drive with the small steering wheel.

It's also good to keep some of those Purell hand sanitizers in the console.

I've heard that about pretty much every brand of suede wheel.

Looks great man. Very similar to the one I'm looking into getting.

Mine did. The suede just flakes off and it makes the surface very uncomfortable. Leather Momo Monte Carlo is much better.
