Default shift linkage is fat

when i get to the mall some homos on the sidewalk said something when i drove by, so i dumped it at 4k with bald tires and they spun thro first and i go to go into 2nd and i miss it looking like a jackass. then after i turn the corner i notice tons of play in the shifter, put it into neutral and move it around it feels like churning butter i can sereiously go in circles. long story short the weld on the linkage broke....year old hasport linkage and the weld breaks. Warrenty??

1. Serves you right for being stupid...sorry, had to be said
2. Contact Hasport, not Honda-Tech...they can answer better then most people here
I pulled this straight from their website:
LIMITED WARRANTY: What is covered: This warranty covers any defect in materials or workmanship in your HASPORT engine mount kit. ("engine mount") What is not covered: Damage to the engine mount that is caused by abuse, misuse, modification, or excessive force being applied to the engine mount (such as crashing your automobile). Consequential and incidental damage (such as damage to your automobile if the engine mount fails) are not covered. Some states do not allow this exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. How long coverage lasts: This warranty lasts as long as you own the engine mount. What HASPORT will do: HASPORT will repair or replace the engine mount if it is defective at no charge. HASPORT is not responsible for costs of removing or re-installing the engine mount. What you should do to obtain service: You must return the engine mount to HASPORT for inspection and pay the shipping cost for the return. Proof of purchase is required when obtaining warranty service, so you should include a copy of your invoice or other proof of purchase. If an engine mount is defective, HASPORT will repair or replace it within 30 days of receipt. Additional rights under state law: If a state law creates implied warranties, these implied warranties are limited in duration to the period that this warranty is in effect. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

broken weld= bad product

If a product brakes under conditions it was designed to undertake...whywouldnt it be replaced.....

If you buy a turbo kit and your at the track and the ****** weld on the intercooler breaks...wouldnt you return it ???? the driving surely broke it...but it would have broken in the near future if one misshift fucked it

Contact Hasport. They do have a warranty. Asking for any real information here is usually a waste of time

A Buick Skylark can do a burnout and it still deserves zero respect. So doing one in a CRX isn't impressing anyone. Besides, if you're driving your 15 year old car for respect, you're fighting a losing battle.

That had to be embarrasing.

No where in the warranty does it specify coverage on shift linkage but it does state that you can only buy it in a package. Did you buy it in a package?

This is from Hasports site.
(Due to the large demand for this product, it is currently only availible with the mount kit part number EFB1, or EFB2 as a package.)

YOU driving like an asshat BROKE the shiftlinkage.

YOU shouldnt be coverd by the warrenty. I didnt put a b16 in my car to race. I put it in cause its a better, more reliable motor. and I got a really good deal on the entire swap, everything hasport, and the motor, for 1g.

YOU broke it, and you said it your self.

"caused by abuse, misuse, modification, or excessive force being applied"

Abuse!!!! omg! you where ABUSING your linkage. Excessive force! OMG!

How would linkage break by missing a shift? I agree it should not have broken. They dont make b series linkage for people who are trying to get better gas mileage. It should be made to take a beating. It will be hard to get the warranty on it though, so just have it re-welded. Try a different brand it seems hasport has been falling behind with their ef products.
